Bear Bryant and Shug Jordan must have turned over in their graves after that wild first half of the Iron Bowl. the bang-bang scores made me dizzy. Defense was nowhere to be found. I had just seen Auburn take the lead in the first half on a Bo Nix TD pass when I turned to my friend in the press box and turned back to the TV when he said, “Did Alabama just score again?” indeed, and a few ticks later Auburn kicked a field goal to cut the lead to 31-27. And I cleared my head like I had just seen a video game — or maybe played a game of pinball.
