Mullen confirms Feleipe out of the year. Burney will be back this week. Says Hendo and Zuniga will be right on the edge but with both being veteran players, they'd be fine not practicing this week.
Asked how he'll handle Trask's mental game this week since the QB has never started a game, Mullen jokes that if he looks nervous, maybe they'll send Emory out for the first play so that way Trask doesn't have to officially "start".
Mullen says the biggest difference for Trask and Emory this week will be dealing with the outside pressure of being the quarterback at University of Florida. Things like the media responsibilities, extra scrutiny, going from being the most popular guy on the team as the backup to being the starter who has extra pressure from fans and media.
We're 19 minutes into Mullen's press conference and we have yet to talk about Tennessee. New QB for Gators is part of that but also commentary on the state of this game now.
Trask asked if transferring was ever even a thought: Says it was "absolutely not ever" a consideration. Adds, "Why would I want to leave a Top 10 university, friends, a team that supports me?"
Franks surgery will be next Monday. Recovery is 6 months.

Mullen told Franks he should stay at home, rest...but the quarterback was at the team meeting this morning.
Mullen says with Trask and emory, you want to experienced backups but now it's like having two inexperienced starters.

Josh Hammond says the jet sweep he scored on vs Kentucky is"probably a Kadarius Toney play" as in that it would have normally been dialed up for KT
Hammond on differences between Franks and Trask:
-Says Feleipe has a stronger arm but Trask's can have more of a touch
-Says Trask can be more decisive about throws with Feleipe more willing to run the ball.
Trask says he and Feleipe have spoken a lot the past few days and he's been really supportive as this transition takes place.

The OL needs extra practice.
