As he has said many times as a head coach and said multiple times since he has taken over as the head coach here at Florida... "The growth of a player especially at QB will happen not during the season, but over the summer during the offseason!" As he spoke today about Feleipe Franks, Mullen said he thinks he has grown more over this offseason than he did throughout last season on the field! If you go back and look at the quarterbacks under Mullen you would know that statement holds truth! Alex Smith, Tim Tebow, and Dak Prescott all showed gains in productivity and in leadership coming into fall camp, now that holds true so far for Franks, he now has to go out and execute it on the field! We all will see that next step and if it will happen on the field come August 24th! I believe we are about to see a special season in 2019, it's now time to put it all out on the field!!
Don’t mean to be negative after a big road win that debunked all that garbage about Missouri being Florida’s alleged Kryptonite (I tried all week to warn you it was bogus) but sometimes Mullen’s QB substitution pattern mystifies me. Seemed like Emory Jones was in rhythm when he hit Kadarius Toney for a long gain but he was was yanked in favor of Kyle Trask inside the 6 and the Gators had to settle for a field goal. Not the first time Mojo was lost like that. I'm sure Dan has a reason and he's much smarter them I am, but I just wondered if anybody else had a similar feeling.
