Let me begin by saying, thank you for clicking on my discussion. I’m a lifelong Gators fan and I’ll support the Gators in all kinds of weather. I‘m not a classically trained journalist that can paint you a Mona Lisa with my vernacular capabilities. I’m not an insider with exclusive scoops. I’m not a season ticket holder with loads of firsthand accounts. I don’t even get to enjoy and spend as much time as I used to researching and studying all things Florida Gators related since the birth of my daughter. What I am is a blue collared, hard working, beer swigging, fun loving, common man that lives and breathes for Florida Gators Athletics, especially football.
Each week I’d like to throw out to you my thoughts and opinions on the recent Gators game.
Game 1 vs Miami: To paraphrase an old Frankie Goes To Hollywood hit: RELAX! It’s game 1 of a long season! There were flaws on both sides of the ball. There were flashes of brilliance on both sides of the ball. A big game against a rival opponent in a national primetime slot. Perfection was not expected. Simmer down, GatorNation. This team is still tuning up the machine for a long ride. UT-Martin will be another game for us to iron out the kinks before SEC play begins, when we start playing more meaningful games. It’s a W in the books and it’s a boost for in-state recruiting. Game 1 was a success!
