Considering UF’s athletic budget is just over $200 million, perhaps siphoning some of that money into a collective may have been more expeditious in attracting better football recruits. Does anyone think for a second Indiana would have been better off limiting its NIL budget in order to upgrade facilities to the extent Florida has?

No one could convince me the Florida Gators were not the best team in 1994. At one point ranked No.1, the shine faded with a fluke loss in the Swamp to an undefeated and probation-riddled Auburn team that somehow pulled off a magic act against a far superior Gators team for the second year in a row. 

If Florida wins the 1928 national championship, it’s a safe bet the Gators sustain success much longer than they did.
