Around the NFL, Tuesday was "cut-down day," when clubs were required to reduce their roster to the 53-man active roster. It meant a lot of jobs were lost, but also meant a lot of dreams were either finally realized or continued.

In total 36 former players made the roster. We did not players who started at Florida then finished at another school, except in two instances (due to players longevity and impact at UF). The New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons each lead the way with four players each.

Of the 35 players on rosters, 16 of them entered the NFL from the Dan Mullen regime.

It is important to note this can change, possibly even fairly quickly. As clubs scour the waiver wire for players released by other teams, they can add to their roster, and release others as a result. That means some of these names could be let go, sent to other teams or reduced to the practice squad. That also means there are currently names not on this list that could still find themselves on NFL rosters, or at the very least, practice squad. Names like Tyrie Cleveland, Josh Hammond and Donovan Stiner, all of whom are good candidates to either be picked up or clear waivers and make their teams practice squad.

This is the first year without a slew of certain players. For years, starters from the 2006 and 2008 National Championship team had dominated NFL rosters. As that class continues to grow older and retire, Joe Haden and Carlos Dunlap are the only Gator starters from those championships teams to remain in the league.
