Florida rested Sloane Blakely, no routines. Leanne Wong skipped floor and there was some good news that Peyton Richards could return for the SEC March 23. The Floor exercise is the hardest on a gymnast. Even Trinity Thomas took some of those off.
After the last two seasons of being runnerup in the finals, coach Jenny Rowland mixed up the schedule this season and Florida ends the year with two quad meets. Next Saturday is senior night and UF takes on Iowa State, NC State and Long Island University. This will help the team get into the routine of postseason where you are constantly matched up against multiple opponents.
It feels like something special is going on and the Gators are poised for a deep run.
