Florida's numbers

Florida averages 46.2 points per game through five games and has allowed 27.2, according to ESPN box scores. The Gators' only loss is the 45-17 defeat at Missouri on Oct. 3.

South Carolina's situation

South Carolina is 0-3 in the SEC, and coach Shane Beamer has lost eight straight league games, the Post and Courier reported. The Gamecocks lost to Kentucky in overtime after blowing a double-digit lead, according to the newspaper. It said quarterback LaNorris Sellers played well against Kentucky but made notable errors, and it argued running back Matt Fuller should get more carries. The Post and Courier also wrote that calls for a coaching change grew after the Kentucky loss but that a move this week is very unlikely.

Predictions

The Post and Courier's David Cloninger picks Florida 42, South Carolina 24.
