DJ Lagway has been the pride and joy of the 2024 Florida recruiting class for some time now, but for the first time this season, Gators fans are seeing why.

The Willis High School (Willis, Tx.) product scored eight touchdowns in a 52-31 thrashing of Rudder High School. Not to mention, he only played in the first half.
He officially ended the game going 21 for 23 with 436 yards through the air according to MaxPreps.
It didn't take long for the senior to strike gold on Friday as Lagway and Willis had their first touchdown just three plays into the game.
He also placed some balls in great locations for his receivers to go and make a play on the football, including this throw to Debraun Hampton in the endzone.
It's an extremely encouraging start to Lagway's final high school season and builds even more hype around a very talented 2024 class.
Lagway is one of 22 commits gathered by head coach Billy Napier for the class of 2024. Currently, both On3 and 247Sports rank the Gators class as third in the nation, led by Lagway and fellow five-star Xavier Filsaime.
