Gators slug six homers in doubleheader sweep of Ole Miss

Saturday was not a day for vintage pitching performances by Florida starters Brandon Sproat and Hurston Waldrep, but fortunately, the 2ndranked Gators didn’t need their A games. Instead, the Gators relied on their bats to the tune of 21 runs, 12 singles, four doubles and six home runs, an onslaught 13th-ranked Ole Miss (15-8, 0-5 SEC) couldn’t handle in a doubleheader played before 10,352 fans at Tom Swayze Park in Oxford.
