No Chance Against Georgia for the Florida Gators? Stranger Things Have Happened

This will no doubt be easily a double-digit line, at least 14 points in my estimation, so just another punch in the gut to Gator fans who harbored some high hopes following an encouraging loss to Alabama earlier in the season.

AS TOLD TO CARLTON REESE
Dan Mullen has had two weeks to come up with a masterful game plan for Georgia that will make fans temporarily forget the debacles in Lexington and Baton Rouge. According to Carlton the Doorman’s system, the numbers put Georgia winning by 37 points, so that means there is no way on God’s creation the Vegas bookmakers will give Florida enough points to lure a bet in its direction.
This will no doubt be easily a double-digit line, at least 14 points in my estimation, so just another punch in the gut to Gator fans who harbored some high hopes following an encouraging loss to Alabama earlier in the season. No doubt, nearly all Gator fans have given up on this team which has no shot at any kind of championship; but remember, this is college football and bizarre things happen when you least expect it.
How many times have we witnessed a team lay an egg, be thrown in the dumpster only to regroup and shock everyone the next week? That’s where Florida stands at the moment. No one believes in them, least of all Georgia, which is yet to be challenged.
This could all work in Florida’s advantage. Can Georgia possibly respect Florida after what has transpired in the month of October? Of course not!
This could turn the Gators into a sleeping giant of sorts, the caged animal that was LSU when Florida fell there last week. I remember the 2014 team coached by Will Muschamp and how it had zero chance against a top-10 Bulldogs squad. Florida was coming off back-to-back embarrassing defeats to LSU and Missouri while Georgia was riding a 5-game winning streak and seemingly headed to Atlanta. Then, out of nowhere appeared a gashing Florida running game and the Gators pounded Georgia.
In 2014, Georgia didn’t know what hit them and no one was more shocked than Gator fans. It’s college football and nothing should shock anyone.
And what of this week? The Doorman is feeling better after his home dog picks went 4-2 last week and trends are looking good.
Home dogs he likes this week are Washington State plus 3.5 over BYU and Purdue plus 3 over Wisconsin.
Road dog picks which had been a bust most of the year went 3-0 last week and a getting a closer look today. For this weekend, those games would include Temple plus 2.5 over South Florida, Kansas State plus 1 over Texas Tech and Oklahoma State plus 7 over Iowa State.
This week’s games according to Carlton the Doorman:
SEC: Ole Miss by 19 over LSU, Mississippi State by 32.5 over Vanderbilt, Alabama by 34 over Tennessee, Texas A&M by 38 over South Carolina
