No defense, bad shooting equals bad loss for Gators

Of all the games for the defense to go in the tank, it happened Saturday on the same afternoon that the Gators shot 3-pointers like they took lessons by mail order and the mail was late. Florida (13-12, 6-6 SEC) scored more than enough points to win but the 88-80 loss to Vanderbilt (13-12, 6-6 SEC) came down to stops the Gators didn’t get on the defensive end and shots they didn’t make down at the other end of the O-Dome floor.
