Although it may be hard to look all the way to the 2025 class right now with the start of the 2023 season upon us and the 2024 class shaking up, it's never too early to take a peak at what lies ahead.

Fortunately for the Gators, as can be seen with the current state of the 2024 class, the future looks bright for Florida recruiting.
Florida already has a load of offers out to members of the class of 2025, but do not hold any commitments as it stands. It should be obvious this far out, but that is no concern for Florida. Few teams have commitments in the 2025 class, and of those schools that do, many have just a single pledge. Furthermore, it is very common for commitments made that far out to be a revolving door, as these athletes are still extremely young and have a long road ahead.
August 1 marked the first day that college coaches were able to reach out to prospects in the 2025 class. Prior to that date, prospects were only allowed to reach out to coaches on their own or meet with members of the staff during campus visits. Nonetheless, here's a look at some of the Gators' top targets for the class of 2025.
At the top of the list, at least for the moment, is five-star DL Armondo Blount. He is heavily regarded as the most talented player in the state of Florida for the class of 2025, which obviously throws him into the priority column. The Miami (Fl.) native has almost 30 offers, including one from Florida. Although extremely early On3 has the Gators as the narrow favorite to land Blount and also note that he has been to Gainesville five times already.
Another big target for Napier and company is four-star LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng. Another IMG Academy prospect, Owusu-Boateng is among the top linebackers in the class of 2025, being ranked No. 6 and No. 3 in the position group by On3 and 247Sports respectively. He has also taken multiple visits to Gainesville and will be another name to watch for the foreseeable future. Florida wracked up an impressive LB group in the 2024 class, one that inside linebackers coach Jay Bateman would love to continue to expand in 2025.
Rounding out potentially the three largest targets for Florida to date in the class of 2025 is four-star running back Waltez Clark. The Plant High School (Tampa, Fl.) product has been a primary focus by running back coach Jabbar Juluke early on in this process and will likely continue to be through the next year. Florida is again regarded as the early favorite to land Clark by both On3 and 247Sports.
While it is still extremely early in the process, the Gators have made their priorities known and have taken their time since August 1 to contact some of the top recruits in the class of 2025.
