The Florida Gators clinched the second seed in the NCAA Tournament's field of 64 in baseball, presenting them with the opportunity to host their way to Omaha during the regular season. They defeated Florida A&M University in their opening game, 3-0, in large part to Josh Rivera’s first inning 2-run blast and Jac Caglianone's effort off the mound.
