Florida continues to build towards the future with yet another big time recruit, 6-foot-3 edge rusher Jayden Woods flipping from Penn State to the Florida Gators. The Shawnee, KS star has decided to join the Gators after an unofficial visit to Gainesville this past weekend.
The back-to-back top 25 victories, along with a vote of confidence for Billy Napier from AD Scott Strickland created momentum which has started to reap rewards as the Gators moved from the low 50’s to a possible top 10 class as signing day is just around the corner on December 4.
Woods is a 4-Star prospect that would fit nicely into the JACK position at Florida and Coach Mike Peterson is the key coach responsible for Woods flipping. There have been several other flips unofficially announced, including some key ones from Florida State.
As it stands, Florida has 20 verbal commitments:
4-Star wide receiver- Vernell Brown III
4-Star running back- Waltez Clark
3-Star punter- Hayden Craig
3-Star running back- Chad Gasper
3 Star tight end- Tae’Shaun Gelsey
4-Star cornerback- Ben Hanks
3-Star tight end- Micah Jones
4-Star linebacker- Ty Jackson
4-Star linebacker- Myles Johnson
3-Star quarterback- Tramell Jones
3-Star running back- Byron Louis

Winning cures a lot of problem, along with help from the Transfer Portal. You can point to several wins Napier has had since he arrived. What was a doomsday scenario after the Texas A&M game is turning into a very positive endind to the football season, With a big victory over the hated Seminoles and a possible Gator Bowl matchup between Georgia Tech, Duke or some other regional team. The Gator Nation may finally be able to step off the ledge, breath and look forward to 2025.
