On August 14, Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille at Celebration Pointe will celebrate its second anniversary fit for the Head Ball Coach himself and his championship pedigree.

Since opening in 2021, Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille has become a beacon for pride for the Gator Nation, welcoming Gator fans and general sports fans alike.

Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille has also become the epicenter of Florida athletics recruiting, numerous business meetings, birthday parties, and many other celebrations. Gator Football has made Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille one of the focal points of its recruiting visits as recruits and their families have been impressed with the presentation of Coach Spurriers career as well as other notable pieces of memorabilia.

The mindfulness of service and the history of the Gator Nation has been meticulously curated throughout the entire restaurant.

For its second anniversary, Spurrier’s will welcome fans from 5pm to 10pm. Patrons will enjoy a scrumptious buffet of the dishes fans of Spurrier’s have come to appreciate. Offerings could include filet mignon, Spurrier’s famous shrimp and grits, orange and blue shrimp, baby back rib risotto, and of course Mrs. Jerri Spurriers’ famous (birthday) chocolate chip cookies, a personal favorite of Gator greats Chris Doering and Shane Mathews. Additionally, everyone in attendance that evening will have the opportunity for door prizes including autographed items, and the grand prize of dinner with Coach Steve Spurrier and his wife Jerri . Each person in attendance will also receive a limited-edition Seconc Anniversary commemorative coin. Many Gator greats, coaches and friends of the program attended last year’s event.

Along with celebrating two years of success Spurriers Gridiron Grille continues to partner with local charities to embrace the communities of North Central Florida. For the second year in a row Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille is partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida and donation a portion of the proceeds of the evening to charity -- 11 % of all food sales and 66% of all beer, wine, and cocktail sales will be donated. These numbers are significant to Coach Spurrier and Gator fans alike as they represent the number (11) Coach Spurrier wore as the quarterback of the Florida Gators and the year (1966) that he won the Heisman Trophy.
