According to a report by Pete Thamel of ESPN, Utah's starting quarterback, Cam Rising, is unlikely to play in the opener against the Gators on Thursday night. Rising suffered an ACL tear during the previous season's Rose Bowl, which has hindered his participation in the fall camp in Salt Lake City. As a result, he is expected to miss the game against the Gators.

Both teams will be in for a physical matchup as both schools look to impose their will on the other.
