Those who were still around at the end were treated to a story that could be made up for a Hollywood movie, except it really happened.

The Gator offense will once again need to shine if they want to defend home turf this weekend. With the injury to Ava Brown, the pitchers will be down a player that was heavily counted on to be a solid #2 starter this season.

The Gators were going to be playing late into the night starting at 10:30 eastern against the squad from East Texas A&M.

The Florida bats stayed red hot during the weekend. Taylor Shumaker had two home runs; Brown, Jocelyn Ericksonand Madison Walker each homered.

The Gators need to come out aggressively in each of these games and play their brand of softball regardless of the opponent

The Gators end the week at 12-0 and look to continue building that resume with a mid-week game and another round-robin tournament this weekend.

The Gators will play Marshall on Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.

The team struck out 39 opponents while giving up only 13 hits and the four earned runs.

2024 NFCA Hall of Fame inductee Tim Walton enters his 21st year at the helm of the Florida Gators softball program.

Tech made its first appearance in the Women’s College World Series with Canady’s arm. Now they are flipping more of their line up with new faces, including Florida All-American Mia Williams to “buy a championship.”

Once again, Walton must rebuild. The 2025 Freshmen class, led by All American and National Freshman of the year Taylor Shumaker, put in a solid season.
